World Peace

A Variety in Prose

it would be nice
to reach out
and touch another human being
without the fear of rejection
rebuke or retalliation
to walk past shadows
without fear of someone lurking
to rob, maim or steal
your money or your life

it would be nice
to be able to reach out
and offer a hand
of friendship
helping another human being

physically or emotionally

it would be nice
for everyone to put aside
their differences
and realize we're "all created equal"
we all bleed red, breathe the same air
and share the same resources

it would be nice
to see everyone sharing
caring and loving each other
and doing their best to promote
world peace
